Rex Glanville

As a specialist strategy consultant Rex has been involved in Strategic Projects since 1994 when the company was founded. He has worked across a broad spectrum of industries in both South Africa and the United Kingdom including Financial Services, Construction, Property, IT and Manufacturing.
Early in his career, Rex joined the Greatermans organization and was appointed as CEO of Checkers. Checkers’ strategic direction was successfully redefined and the company developed over the next 8 years into the country’s largest and most successful supermarket group with over 300 stores employing 30,000 people.
Rex was invited to join The Tongaat Hulett Group (THG), one of SA’s largest industrial conglomerates. Following an extended AMP at Henley, he served for 9 years as CEO of their Foods Services Division, consisting of eight companies in various FMCG Segments. Rex left THG to establish Decision Processes International Africa.
Greg Carolin

Greg has over 27 years’ experience in critical thinking methodologies to assist organisations to mitigate risk in decision making, directly related to resource allocation and opportunity selection, to drive new revenue streams and transformational growth. Greg’s personal life goal is to “make a difference”.
To achieve this life goal, he works with organisations of any size and any industry, assisting them to think critically about their purpose and how they can change the game in their selected industries., identifying, assessing and implementing new revenue streams. Prior to joining DPI SA in December 2000, Greg had a 17 year career with the FNB and the FirstRand Group. Since then Greg has been involved with all the facets of DPI’s Critical Thinking technologies relating to Scenario Thinking, Strategic Thinking, Disruptive Thinking, Strategic Product Innovation, Strategic Business / Operating Model Innovation, Digital Strategy, Strategic Information Management and Situation Management.
Over the last 25 years, he has successfully led and been involved with over 500 projects with leading South African companies’ across a broad segment of industries. Some of the projects have also included the operations of organisations located in the UK, Europe and Far East.
Greg has exceptional facilitation and interpersonal skills. He has the ability to work across all levels of management within an organisation. His knowledge on the subject of leadership and business management.
Dr. Muriel Chinoda

Dr Rodney Kuppen
Senior Consultant – DPI South Africa
Dr Kuppen hold a PhD in Nuclear Physics and is a seasoned Strategist with over 25 years’ experience in corporate strategy. His fields of expertise include, nuclear energy, energy industry restructuring and corporate turnaround. He spent his initial years as a Senior Scientist in the Molecular Laser Isotope Separation (MLIS) programme at the Atomic Energy Corporation where he developed tuneable infrared laser systems for uranium enrichment.
He thereafter joined Deloitte Consulting as a strategist focussing on the energy industry. He was one of the team that started up the Deloitte African Energy practice and at a time managed the Energy account.
He has spent a number of years consulting to Eskom on energy reform and business optimisation. During this time he has conducted a number of studies on the state of the energy market and applied this knowledge when he supported the start up of a biofuels company. He has also been involved in a solar refit bid as part of the Eskom programme.
Rodney has spent the last 20 years consulting to both public and private sector organisations on strategic issues. He has led a number of transformations at large government departments. Rodney is a well
rounded business executive with experience (locally and regionally) in operations management, strategic thinking, people management, business process improvement as well as project & change management.
Sue Galley
Senior Associate–DPI South Africa
Sue has been involved in event management, marketing and consulting projects for the past 37 years, working for small, medium and large corporates in a full time and temporary / outsourcing capacity. She has specialist skills in managing the budgeting of projects, conceptualising and co-ordination of events, promotions, exhibitions, conferences, customer entertainment, sales support, branding and corporate image and, more recently, supplying uniforms and corporate clothing.
Sue has a 22 year relationship with Decision Processes International-Africa where she has the primary responsibility of producing a complete outcomes document at the culmination of the process. She also does project admin and co-ordination of strategy conferences, assists with facilitation and backup for the main facilitators.
As part of the DPI team, Sue has worked with major companies participating in over 250 projects across aide range of industries in RSA and the UK, focusing on Strategy formulation, Disruption Strategy, Product Innovation and Strategic Business Model development and implementation sessions.
